Badwater Rig
The
Badwater Rig is a building unique to
Folktails that allows for direct collection of
Badwater from
Badwater Sources.
Badwater Sources with a Badwater Rig built on top will cease to output Badwater to the environment, and will not be able to do so unless the Badwater Rig is demolished.
The
Badwater Rig is a more hazard-friendly method of harvesting
Badwater for beavers. More importantly is that a
Badwater Pump
can extract 3 badwater per hour whereas this can extract 4 badwater per hour per beaver (40 badwater/hour/10 beavers = 4 badwater/hour/1 beaver) Though you can build more
Badwater Pumps to eventuly get more badwater out of a source (given the source has enough strength to pump more badwater overall)
Care should be taken to ensure that the workplace is vacant before demolishing a Badwater Rig, as the flow of badwater will commence immediately, risking
contamination to beavers who may still be inside. This can be achcived by pausing, waiting until working hours have ended (only applicable to beaver workers), waiting until a drought starts, disconnecting paths leading to the rig (haulers and vacent or unemployed beavers will still go to empty the rig of badwater) Before demolishing a Badwater Rig.
Construction
The badwater rig needs to be built on top of a
Badwater Source. The badwater rig takes 400
Gears, 200
Treated Planks, 150
Metal Blocks to build.
Gears are made in the
Gear Workshop,
Treated Planks are made in the
Wood Workshop, and
Metal Blocks are made in the
Smelter.
Care should be also taken when building the rig as it is common to build stairs connecting to the source before construction is finished, sometimes causing beavers to walk into the badwater to build the rig, leaving them contaminated.
Usage
It takes 10 hours per worker to harvest 40
badwater.
The UI will change to show the production time the more beavers you have employed.
With the full 10 beavers working on the mine, it takes 1 hour to produce 40
badwater.
This building still produces badwater in a drought if open and staffed.
