Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump
The
Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump is a
building exclusive to
Iron Teeth that allows for advanced control of
Fluid levels.
Behavior
Unlike the regular
Deep Water Pump, the Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump does not create drinkable water. Rather it pumps water from one side straight to the other side. The maximum pumping depth is 8 tiles. The water pump will stop moving water when the water level on the discharge side is 0.1m below its spout.
When the Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump is used to pump water to a 1 tile wide canal it will create a flow of 0.5 cms when fully powered.
The Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump can be set to only pump clean water, badwater, or any fluid at its current water quality. Setting it to pump a specific quality of fluid makes the Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump function like a water purifier or badwater concentrator.
When not in use, the Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump will not draw power. This is the case when the water levels reach the limits at the output side, the input runs out of applicable fluids, or the building is paused.
Construction
The Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump is built with 50
Gears, 25
Treated Planks, and 25
Metal Blocks. The main 1x3 body, excluding the pipe sides, function like a short row of
Levees, walling off water and allowing it to be better embedded in a Levee wall
Gears are produced in a
Gear Workshop, treated planks are made in
Wood Workshop, and metal blocks are made in
Smelter. It costs 2500
Science points to unlock it.
The blocks under the pipes must be at a lower level than where the pump being built.
Power
Power is accepted into the Deep Mechanical Fluid Pump from either base end block on all exposed sides as well as from below along any of the three base blocks.
