Impermeable Floors are a Landscaping icon.png Landscaping utility building to separate fluid flows on vertical levels. Introduced in "Update 6 - the Wonders of Water", Impermeable Flooring allows many non-watertight solid buildings to hold water above it, or prevent a body of water from raising above it.

Construction

Impermeable Floors can be placed atop any solid surface, and would be required for Platform icon.png Platforms, Metal Platform 3x3 icon.png Metal Platforms and Overhang 2x1 icon.png Overhangs to hold or suppress water. As most non-levee buildings do not block water from below, Impermeable Floors would be required to prevent buildings on Platform icon.png Platforms and similar supporting buildings from flooding from below.

Unlike Contamination Barrier icon.png Contamination Barriers and Irrigation Barrier icon.png Irrigation Barriers, Impermeable Flooring can be built underneath other buildings, and allow other applicable buildings to be built above it.

While being a thinner floor-based alternative to Levee icon.png Levees, Impermeable Floor tiles also allow for vertical connections like Vertical Power Shaft icon.png Vertical Power Shafts, Horsepower icon.png Power, and File:Solid Tubeway icon.png Solid Tubeways to pass through.
