Behaviour
Sunflowers take 5 days to grow, and harvesting destroys them. Sunflowers will be harvested even if they are not selected for replanting. Alternatively builders can destroy sunflowers, but this will not yield any sunflower seeds.

Sunflower seeds increases Nutrition:
Sunflower Seeds by 50, where most foods increase their Nutrition by 20. This means that despite the poor yields of the crop, you do not need a lot of sunflowers to satisfy all your population in this particular need.
However, their
hunger satisfaction is the same than other foods, so sunflowers aren't optimal if you do not have enough food.

- What we call a sunflower seed is actually the fruit of the sunflower — known botanically as an achene. The true seed is inside that shell (the hull).
- Sunflower seeds are loaded with vitamin E, magnesium, selenium, and healthy fats.
