A Tubeway icon.png Tubeway is an Iron Teeth icon.png Iron Teeth rapid transit building. It is the main connector for the Tubeway System icon.png Tubeway System. Once inside, travellers gain +300% (x4) travel speed, greatly reducing travel time.

Travellers are fully isolated from the environment, preventing Beavers from getting Wet fur or Contaminated icon.png Contamination. Travel is bidirectional and concurrent, meaning that there are no "lanes" or "traffic".

Construction

Tubeway icon.png Tubeways connect automatically to other existing Tubeway icon.png Tubeways without any removal or rebuilding to re-configure the network. Along with the Solid Tubeway icon.png Solid Tubeway, Tubeways can be built under fluids. Open-ended Tubeways do not let water into the system, and are not affected by Flooded Building icon.png Flooding as a whole.

Unlike the Solid Tubeway icon.png Solid Tubeway, Tubeways can not connect directly vertically or under a Tubeway Station icon.png Tubeway Station. Platform icon.png Platforms placed above Tubeways do not help them connect upwards.

However, Tubeways can be built underneath existing Platform icon.png Platforms and Overhang 2x1 icon.png Overhangs, allowing for longer-term plan-ahead strategies to reduce the amount of demolition and rebuilding infrastructure.

Transport

Builders' Hut icon.png Builders can build while physically inside the Tubeway icon.png Tubeway. This extends the Iron Teeth builders' versatility and reach, allowing for building and cleanup projects to occur immediately around its footprint and quickly expanding outwards.

Beavers of other workplaces however would have to exit the station for other purposes.
