Also known as "hooman", they are the previous occupants of Earth. Even the eldest beavers know little of the hoomans' fate. All that is known is that hoomans:

• left behind  Ruins and  Underground Ruins which can be used as sources for a strange material that is, believe or it not, stronger than wood. We call this substance " Metal".
• caused catastropic damage to the  Weather, giving rise to frequent  Droughts and infrequent  Badtides.
• left behind permanently polluted  Badwater Sources that cause Contaminated Terrain that kills  beavers and Plants alike.
