Maps are the regions where Beavers are born, work, and relax. They contain varied geography that can be altered by the Beavers using Landscaping icon.png Landscaping tools. Maps provide various Natural Structures icon.png Natural Structures needed to sustain Beavers, such as flowing Fluids icon.png Water, Food icon.png Food sources, and Trees icon.png Trees to fell for Log icon.png Logs.

Timberborn has official Maps that are described below. Players can create and upload their own Custom Maps by using the Map Editor provided with the game. Other players can then download the Maps by using the Steam Workshop or selecting Custom for the map type when starting a new game.

Water Bad
Recommended Map icon.pngLakes 256x256 16.0 7.0 3 These days, areas rich in lakes and rivers are scarce. What little remains shows that there is still hope for Earth, though.
Recommended Map icon.pngPlains 256x256 9.0 3.5 3 With expansive areas as flat as a beaver's tail, this region makes for a safe testing ground for novice engineers.
Recommended Map icon.pngWaterfalls 128x128 12.0 4.0 2 It's an old parenting trick to tell kits that a waterfall is just a big floodgate. Here, they will spend weeks looking for a shutoff lever.
Beaverome 192x192 21.0 10.0 2 To build the legendary metropolis, the beaver ancestors drained seven mighty craters. Even with today's timber-tech, that's no small feat.
Canyon 128x128 4.0 4.0 2 In the desert, beavers always seek valleys where the rivers still flow. Easily dammed, this canyon will become a safe haven for all.
Cliffside 100x50 5.0 3.0 1 Remains of ancient human architecture are scattered across this secluded valley. The beavers aspire to leave a similar mark on the world.
Craters 192x192 10.0 8.0 3 Nobody knows how the craters came to be. Preliminary excavations suggest hoomans' violent involvement.
Diorama 50x50 6.0 2.0 1 Before they're allowed to oversee large colonies, aspiring builders are tasked with running small-scale projects like this one.
Helix Mountain 256x256 12.0 13.0 4 Even though they find the riverbed shape impractical, the beavers acknowledge hoomanity's limited water engineering skills.
Hollows 192x192 7.0 9.0 3 These bountiful hollows are a prime area for prospective settlers. The carved out landscape hides many opportunities - the eldest beavers even whisper of buried treasures.
Meander 128x128 11.0 2.0 2 Beaver engineers are keen to exploit the natural curvature of the river banks. Planning out the best usage of limited space is the tricky part.
Mountain Range 256x150 8.0 12.0 4 In desperate search for fresh water, beavers are ready to climb even the highest mountains.
Terraces 256x256 15.5 11.0 4 Many societies choose to settle on elevated areas, utilizing the beavers' newfound knack for vertical building.
Thousand Islands 256x256 54.0 27.0 3 Even for natural born swimmers, turning an archipelago into a thriving industrial colony is no easy task.
