Platforms are buildings used to serve as a foundation or bridges to other structures.

For Metal Platforms, see Metal Platforms.
For Overhangs, see Overhangs.

The Platform icon.png Platforms is a solid Building. They are versatile, raised 1x1 surfaces. Common uses include:

  • foundations: filling in sunken terrain for pathing or structures; and
  • bridges: raising paths, power transmission, or fluid flow (if covered with an Impermeable Floor) over obstacles.

There are currently 3 different Platforms in Timberborn:

Construction

Platforms can not be used to build above non-solid structures. To achieve that, use Overhangs, Metal Platforms, or Suspension Bridges to pass over the structure, noting that bridges are only suitable for foot traffic.

Unlike Levees, platforms can be built and used in water without obstructing fluid flow. They are often stacked and used with Wooden Stairs to form spiral staircases to ascend tall structures.

Many small structures and decorations can be built underneath platforms of sufficient height, like Wooden Stairs icon.png Wooden Stairs under a Double Platform icon.png Double Platform, or Path icon.png Paths underneath a Platform icon.png Platform.

Overhang 2x1 icon.png Overhangs can be built with the overhang inside of the legs of the Double Platform icon.png Double Platform and Triple Platform icon.png Triple Platform.
