Path
Paths are one of the essential structures in Timberborn.
Usage
Almost all
buildings require being connected to a
District Center through Paths, or else no
beaver will make use of them.
Paths are built instantly and do not require any good nor beaver to build them. They can only be constructed on the ground or a solid structures.
Wooden Stairs,
Suspension Bridges,
Slopes as well as ![]()
Ziplines and ![]()
Tubeways prolonges a path when connected.
Paths also extend the District Center boundaries, allowing to construct
Buildings, have access to
rubbles or remove ressources
marked for demolition in a 19x19 square centered on the path.
Worker behavior
To access a map element, a
builder will first travel to the closest path to said element, disregarding any other path that would also be in range. This can result in an increased distance and loss of efficiency if the closest path takes a longer route.
Farmers and
gatherers behave differently, chosing the shortest path between the map element and their building entrance.
