Decoration is a tool group with decorative structures. Some satisfy aesthetic Needs. These Decorations have an associated range. A range of one means it slowly satisfies that Need while the Beaver is in an adjacent tile, both orthogonally and diagonally. The range displays as a shaded orange area when the Decoration is selected or being placed. See the example images to the right.

Strategies

While the Decorations will satisfy Beavers in a 'drive-by' effect, this gain is minimal. Placing the decorations near locations where Beavers will spend a lot of time will, allow for more growth of the aesthetic Need. The prime location is within range of Beavers' Housing icon.png Housing, especially if you can afford to place multiple of the same decoration so each house is in range of one. While sleeping they will max out the need. Alternatively, place them in strategic locations that Beavers frequently pass. Easy examples include drinking water, food, and Well-Being buildings.
