Food is used to satisfy the hunger and different needs of the beavers. Every food will fill up hunger and every food excluding
berries will satisfy a specific need.
Carrots, sunflower seeds and berries are ready to be eaten right after they are harvested.
Potatoes, chestnuts and spadderdocks require Grilling before they can be eaten.
Wheat and cattail roots first need to be ground up into Wheat Flour and cattail flour. The flours can be baked into various baked goods.
Beavers consume, on average, 2.67 units of food per day to fill their hunger and will prioritize other food types over Berries. Each food in game is worth one food unit irrelevant of type.
